Information, both national and international is a major task in NLF to provide its members with a background for decisions. NLFs two main information channels are the magazine BNT and www.lastebil.no

The association offers legal assistance (also available to members of sister organisations in Finland, Sweden and Denmark) and consultants’ advise on matters such as

• Transport economy
• Environmental questions relating to goods transport
• Business administration
• Quality- and environment system (NLFs own system "Kvalitet og miljø på vei)
• Social conditions in road transport (tariffs and wages, work contracts etc.)
• Crises management relating to road accidents. "Kollegahjelpen" is a team of volunteers who have been trained to help colleagues in NLF and their drivers in the case of accidents, robberies etc.
